Join us for a day of free workshops. The programme includes:

Create your own Bandhani
11:30, 13.15 and 14.45 (workshop lasts approximately 45 minutes)
Design Studio, Learning Center
Create your own naturally dyed bandhani swatch in this hands-on textiles workshop. Guided by artist Monique Kaur Kellay, you’ll be introduced to the art of Bandhani, an intricate resist-dye technique with deep roots in South Asia and the Indus Valley Civilisation. You’ll have space to play, learn, and develop your own unique design inspired by the textiles in our collections.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Join us as this sensory storytelling session invites families to explore stories of journeys, home and nature.

Fabric lotus making
Drop in, Learning Center
Create your own wearable fabric lotuses using recycled sari materials and textiles with Sapna Patel

Food and drinks - Children's meal deals and highchairs are available in our cafés. Packed lunches can be eaten in the Lunchroom or John Madejski Garden.
Breastfeeding & Baby Changing - Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the V&A. Quiet spaces are available for those who prefer privacy. Baby changing facilities are available in most toilets.
Buggy Park - There are main buggy park areas near Cromwell Road entrance and the cloakroom near Exhibition Road entrance. Ask a member of staff to direct you to a buggy park. Some extra buggy park areas will be available close to the Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre.
Ear defenders - ear defenders are available to pick up from the Learning Centre Desk.
