The V&A have collaborated with Parisian design house, Antoinette Poisson, on an exclusive pattern especially for the Marie Antoinette Style exhibition.
Experts in historical pattern, the design duo have created a print full of the frivolity of Rococo Paris, incorporating cornflowers, animal print and strings of pearls in reference to Marie Antoinette's personal style.
Antoinette Poisson masterfully recreates 18th-century domino paper, or papier dominoté, a form of decorative print used to adorn walls, cover books or line cabinets. The domino paper print is printed and coloured by hand on handmade paper with deckled edges in Antoinette Poisson’s workshop in Paris.

Antoinette Poisson
Named for a member of the French court, Antoinette Poisson is a French design house seeking to revive the charm of 18th-century interior décor for the modern age. Founded by trained paper conservators Jean-Baptiste Martin and Vincent Farelly in 2012, Antoinette Poisson specialises in wallpaper and domino paper, using their expertise in classic aesthetics and traditional production techniques to create new patterns alongside reissued historical designs.
