Striking and symbolic; this bold burgundy scarf features a Çintemani pattern in black and white, creating a standout accessory perfect as a headscarf or an elegant neckerchief. The Çintemani pattern has a deep meaning in Turkish culture and traditional arts. It's a historical pattern frequently used especially in textile products during the Ottoman Empire period of the 17th Century. Çintemani consists of a trifold circular motif that symbolizes the balance and harmony of the universe.
Designer, Sena Topalcı, has spent 15 years absorbed in local heritage to inspire their contemporary artistic practise. Their designs reflect the aesthetic understanding of both the past and the present by blending traditional elements with modern touches. All are designed and made in Turkey.
To maximise the lifespan of your piece, be gentle; hand wash at 30°C with a non-acidic detergent, avoid excessive rubbing, and iron on the reverse side.
