Erdem Moralioglu, the creative director and founder of London-based fashion label Erdem, takes the reins as the first guest editor of V&A Magazine. He tells Sarah Mower about the museum as inspiration, turns his camera on some favourite spaces at V&A South Kensington, selects books on Cecil Beaton and surrealism, and invites creatives into the pages, including Chantal Joffe and IB Kamara.
Marking this season's exhibition Constantinople to Istanbul: One City, Two Empires, Moralioglu also talks Ottoman dress with curators from Istanbul’s treasure house of historic fashion, the Sadberk Hanim Museum, while Bettany Hughes explores the history of a city known for its brio, the neuroscientist Colin Ellard maps a new frontier in urban design, and Jo Lawson-Tancred profiles the trailblazing algorithmic artist Vera Molnar.
