In this dreamlike advent artwork, Lukas the Illustrator has rendered the monumental V&A Cromwell Road building in a fantastical Rococo-inspired style. Rising imposingly from a bed of rocks, the famous museum façade is adorned with the asymmetrical acanthus details and shell motifs of the Rococo style, flanked with tall pine trees under twinkling stars. Behind each door lies an object from the museum’s collection, ranging from well-loved masterpieces to lesser-known treasures, each displayed in miniature gallery spaces or sparkling through the night sky.

Lukas the Illustrator
Lukas the Illustrator creates works that reference antiquity, but which have a meaningful place in the present. He seeks magic in a world that has long forgotten it, bringing his stories to life through dip pen, ink, and watercolour. He is inspired by nature, narratives and the great etchings of the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
