Birds were a popular adornment for Christmas trees in Victorian times, often made in Germany from blown glass. Many Christmas traditions originate from Germany, including the ritual of decorating an indoor tree, which was introduced to Victorian society by Prince Albert, one of the namesakes of the V&A.

- Perishable or edible items such as flowers or food;
- Memberships, tickets for exhibitions, bookings for events and courses.
