Designed to evoke a world of forgotten romance, this striking necklace has been created exclusively for the V&A.
Made in East London, the necklace is inspired by marvels of the V&A collection, from a colourful Chinese snuff bottle to an exquisite paper fan, each reinterpreted as a playful charm strung on a gold-plated silver chain. The objects were chosen to conjure an air of intimacy, playing with ideas of beauty, nostalgia and desire.
Each piece is meticulously handmade using polymer on a gold-plated silver chain to create exquisitely detailed jewellery that is lightweight and a pleasure to wear.

East London jewellery designer Pinar Sevilmis creates playful, thoughtful jewellery that tells a story. Serving as an index of the material world, the realistic polymer charms she makes by hand are based on real-world objects, creating a tangible reminder of time and place, inviting the wearer to create new narratives as pieces are worn and combined.
