A surreal take on a familiar form, this striking necklace considers the chair as a character in its own story, inviting the viewer to imagine what a piece of furniture might witness or remember over time.
Created exclusively for the V&A, the necklace is inspired by pieces from the V&A collection, selected to suggest a dreamlike inner life for a functional object. The Glastonbury chair is accompanied by a Japanese netsuke toggle and a 15th-century drug jar, each reinterpreted as a playful charm strung on a gold-plated silver chain.
Each piece is meticulously handmade in East London using polymer on a gold-plated silver chain to create exquisitely detailed jewellery that is lightweight and a pleasure to wear.
