Say it loud and proud: East London is the place to be.

Exclusively created in collaboration with the V&A, this vibrant limited edition print features a 1840's reproduction of a map of Victoria Park and the surrounding areas taken from the V&A East galleries, overlaid with the screen-printed slogan in red and fluorescent pink.

Real Hackney Dave’s instantly recognisable, playful prints combine found images and ephemera sourced from auction sites and flea markets with humorous screen-printed text to create thought-provoking, eye-catching works of art.

Hand pulled in Dave’s Hackney studio, the screenprint is available in a limited edition of 150, stamped, signed, and numbered by the artist.

About the artist
Artist Dave Buonaguidi in his screen printing studio.

Real Hackney Dave

Independent artist David Buonaguidi, working as Real Hackney Dave, creates posters and prints from his studio in Hackney, East London. With a background in advertising, Dave draws on the techniques of mass communication and propaganda to create evocative pieces that forge an emotive and humorous connection with the viewer.

Dave works with ephemera, found pictures and materials, juxtaposing familiar images with assertive overlaid texts to create confronting, humorous pieces that push the boundaries of screen-printing practice. His 2003 protest poster bearing the slogan MAKE TEA NOT WAR is held in the V&A collection.

In an exclusive collaboration with V&A East, Dave has worked with a map of Victoria Park taken from the museum’s collection to create a bold and brilliant piece cheerleading for East London pride.
