Created exclusively for the V&A, this beautiful handbag is made by hand in the UK using sustainably produced Italian vegetable-tanned leather; soft and supple, the leather will develop a beautiful patina over years of use.
Perfectly sized to carry your everyday essentials, the bag has an adjustable strap, designed to sit comfortably over the shoulder or across the body. A golden loop on the lid holds the strap so the bag can be closed with ease, keeping the contents secure.
The strap is debossed with a repeated oak leaf pattern adapted from a design for silk created by J. D. Cornuaud in around 1860 and held in the V&A archive.
Based in East London, Natthakur has been making handcrafted leather bags in the UK for over 20 years, uniting timeless, understated and utilitarian aesthetics with classic British design. This range draws on an autumn colour palette, with an embossed oak leaf design on the leather folds and straps creating a moment of connection with the V&A collection.

Apply a light layer of carnauba cream using a soft cloth. Buff gently once applied. The cream helps to darken the leather, reduce the appearance of scuff marks, and condition the surface. Multiple light layers can be applied as needed to build up the finish and enhance the polish.
