This backpack has been created especially for the V&A Shop in collaboration with Natthakur, and the leather is embossed with decorative details taken from a design held in the V&A archive.
Made in a limited batch, the backpack is handcrafted in the UK using cotton canvas and vegetable-tanned leather sourced in Tuscany.
The embossed leather details are adapted from a textile design by J..D. Cornuaud from around 1860.
