This striking scarf depicts a painting taken directly from one of the soffit decorations painted by William Edward Frank Britten (1848–1916), which can be found in the Leighton corridor at the V&A Museum. Look up to the ceiling, and you will see her; Hygeia, goddess of health, sailing in her draperies accompanied by the serpent Wisdom.
