Designed by Philp Webb, this foliage design was created for the Green dining room at the V&A as part of its decoration by Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. in 1866. Created with pencil, watercolour and gold metallic pigment, the pattern was intended as a wall decoration. Webb was an architect and designer, business partner to William Morris and pioneer of Arts and Crafts architecture.
