This chic and stylish necklace, featuring a knot and toggle fastening, is made using hundreds of golden pote glass beads.
A symbol of luck and prosperity for the married woman in Nepal, 'pote' is the common name for the tiny glass beads popular in Nepalese society. These designs are made in direct collaboration with fair trade producer groups that employ local people, with beads bought in Kathmandu.
The tubular shape is made by crocheting the beads onto strong cotton using hundreds of small knots, making it flexible and robust. Choose your style and adjust it to your clothing and preferred length by wearing it knotted or loose.
