Balancing colourful charm with historic elegance, this beautiful collar necklace uses vintage stones and crystals to pay homage to the era of Victoriana.
Celebrated jewellery house VICKISARGE was invited to explore the V&A’s jewellery collection, and created a contemporary range inspired by the bright colours and intricate designs of trailblazing 19th-century jeweller Charlotte Newman.
"The V&A is really important to British designers and, as a jeweller, The William and Judith Bollinger Gallery is just heaven. With our designs for the V&A Shop, you can now take home a piece of the permanent collection."
Louis Circe, Creative Director at VICKISARGE

In 1867, English designer Charlotte Newman created this elegant necklace of layered agate cameos. At the time, she was designing for jeweller John Brogden, crafting pieces that blended art and craftsmanship. This necklace, purchased at the Paris International Exhibition that same year, hints at the talent that would soon lead Newman to open her own shop and workshop.
