Turquoise Mountain
Turquoise Mountain, a non-profit organisation founded in 2006 by His Majesty King Charles III, works in Afghanistan to preserve traditional craftsmanship and support artisan communities. Combining heritage restoration with craft training, the organisation helps sustain livelihoods and cultural traditions. Inspired by Afghan heritage and architecture, their jewellery collections showcase intricate floral motifs, bold gemstones, and striking lapis lazuli, made in Kabul by skilled craftsmen using stones carefully sourced from a local family business. The organisation provides training to the next generation of artisans, and has also established a family health centre and primary school.
