This intricate illustration of flora and fauna is created from tiny 'tesserae' pieces of marble in carefully selected colour and fine-tuned shape. Taken from a circular table in the Gilbert Collection at V&A South Kensington, decorated with an exceptionally vibrant central composition in nuanced pink, green, orange and blue – it's a striking example of the craftsmanship characteristic to this unique and beautiful decorative arts collection.
Giclée printed on 300 gsm Monte Carlo textured paper and presented in a complementing olive green-toned mount, this is a print made to treasure in glorious detail.
