"One thing I really like about Beatrix Potter's mushroom illustrations are...there's a lot character, she isn't doing the flowers and prettiest of nature. She seems to really like the mycology, the mosses and almost the swampiness, that I like as well."
Continuing the long tradition of botanical artists, Katie's work combines fine ink illustrations with digital colouring. Her preoccupation with the natural world has lead to the publication of three books on plant and fungal life, written and co-published by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
