Akademi at 40 (1979 - 2019)

Join us for a special evening of performance, film and dialogue, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of leading South Asian dance company, Akademi. This evening marks the evolution of Akademi’s pioneering work and its contribution to Britain’s international reputation for innovation in South Asian Dance. Reflecting on British Indian Dance in London since 1979, this event highlights the archives, which are held at the V&A and honours the legendary founding Director, Tara Rajkumar.
