The tour will take you through the back streets and purlieus of the City of London, exploring the remaining fragments of the ancient capital and topography of the great events and key social and economic trends of the medieval and early modern city. Amid the soaring towers of the 21st century, we shall search out the vestiges of ancient moments in London’s history, from its roots in late antiquity to the era of the great fire.

This walking tour is linked to the V&A Academy course 'Birth of a Global City: London 1066 - 1666' led by Mike Berlin.

- This event will take place offsite.

- This Unlocked event gives our online learners the opportunity meet the course director in person and to deepen their knowledge of the themes that will be covered in our autumn courses while meeting like minded learners on the day.

- The walking tour can also be booked without being enrolled to a V&A Academy course.

If you wish to be first to hear about similar events, our online courses and practical workshopes, please sign up via the link on the right 'Sign up to our V&A Academy newsletter'
