Fashion in Motion: Holly Fulton

We're proud to present Fashion in Motion: Holly Fulton. Four free catwalk shows will present a retrospective timed to begin a series of celebrations marking the ten year anniversary of her label. The Scottish designer has been awarded numerous accolades including a British Fashion Award and ELLE New Designer. Her own unique visual language is instantly recognisable for her use of digitally manipulated prints, unusual fabrications and strong graphic embellishment. She draws from an array of sources of inspiration from psychedelic illustration to art deco lines to the artefacts on display at the V&A.

She says "I have always had a deep love of antiquity and artefact, it informs my practise and life enormously, and I frequently draw on history for ideas and excitement. The V&A represented an overwhelming source of all these things to me and was a key influence in my early days in London."

"We wanted to show a retrospective of the label and to have a chance to encapsulate our favourite pieces from this time into a show for today. It is a celebration of how we've evolved over the years and a recognition and a thank you to all the people that have helped us get here."
