Street Portrait Photography

Participate in a one-day workshop led by photographer Niall McDiarmid aimed to encourage learners to find their own style and confidence in street portraiture. Following an introduction to Niall's work, as well as a discussion of the history of street portraiture, participants will take to the streets to shoot their own photographs. Niall will share his secrets for identifying potential spots for portraits, camera setup, composition, use of available light, and crucially for approaching and working with subjects on the street. At the end of the workshop participants will have the chance to reflect with individual feedback from Niall in a review session.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and a phone camera or DSLR can be used.
Attendees must be 18+.
