Clothworkers' Centre – tour 1

The Clothworkers’ Centre houses more than 104,000 objects, ranging from small archaeological textile fragments to enormous tapestries; and from the latest creations by leading contemporary designers to hoop petticoats from the 1740s. The tour will provide an overview of work behind the scenes. Visitors will see highlights from the collection, glimpse inside our storage units and meet conservators and see their work in progress.
