This after-work event for Primary and Secondary teachers offers the chance to see and learn about key works and artists through objects, learn from a contemporary artist, network with other teachers, and collect inspiration for visits to the museum and activities in the classroom.
In the event, teachers will explore a selection of objects from the V&A’s collection, followed by a chance to meet and learn about the work of a contemporary artist, share practice and take part in a making activity to support creativity and wellbeing. All materials and light refreshments will be included.
This event will focus have a focus on inclusive practice and feature our Adobe Creative Resident in Inclusive Design: Jess Starns. Inspired by artist Nerys Johnson, we shall paint flowers using tissue paper and explore making our own painting tools.
This event is free and priority booking is for teachers from schools with Free School Meals/Pupil Premium rates above the current national average.
