‘I Can’t Give Everything Away’: Cataloguing the David Bowie Archive 

David Bowie saved over 90,000 items documenting his life and creative process dating from the early 1960s through to the release of his final album Blackstar in 2016. The archive is one of the largest collections dedicated to a single artist in popular music. Join Project Archivist Holly Stepp as she takes you through the history and process of cataloguing the archive, as well as showcasing highlights from the collection.

A range of 10-minute lightning talks will also be taking place on the day, highlighting particular aspects or items from our collections. Details will be posted on the Storehouse noticeboard on the day.

End the day with some origami and join us to fold paper animals from the children’s artists’ book, Zoo in my Hand.
