William Morris visited the South Kensington Museum regularly, to study and be inspired by the collections. He also helped to shape the Museum, as the creator of one of its famous refreshment rooms, and as an “art referee”, one of a panel of experts who advised on the suitability of objects for acquisition. On this tour you will have a chance to see some of the objects that Morris encouraged the Museum to buy, and hear what he said about them.
