Onsite Talk: Knole: One of Britain’s Great Houses photo

The Sackvilles have inhabited Knole for more than 400 years. To celebrate the publication of his new book, Robert Sackville-West, the 13th generation of the family to live there, will take us on a personal tour of this, one of Britain's greatest houses. Illustrated with images by Ashley Hicks, he will describe the architectural and decorative features of the house and its 365 rooms, highlighting the differing tastes of successive ages and introducing us to the characters who have lived there, to provide a fascinating window onto English history.
