Over the past decade, we have seen a significant rise in the number of visual effects projects and huge leaps in the quality of graphics in games. At the core of the technological advances that usher the changes in these industries, it is people who are driving and developing new tools and techniques to make these incredible visuals a reality. This month, Michael Davies from Escape Studios will talk about how to get started in the VFX and animation industries.
Having worked as an artist for over 10 years, Michael offers his insights into questions such as; What are the roles in these production houses and what do they entail? Do you need to be a good artist to create amazing art? Where can I start learning? What does the future in these industries look like?
In this talk, Michael will not only be answering these questions, and more, but will also show examples of the programs used in these industries to help demonstrate and inspire visitors to try themselves.
