Watts 200 is a one-off programme of exciting exhibitions and events celebrating 200 years since the birth of England’s greatest Victorian artist. Members are invited on a curator-led tour of ‘GF Watts: England’s Michelangelo’, a long awaited exhibition of his most striking works from the UK and abroad, and ‘Monumental Murals’, which will reveal Watts’s masterpieces of an awe-inspiring scale. Have a light lunch followed by a guided tour of Limnerslease, the autumn/winter residence of GF and Mary Watts designed by the great Arts and Crafts architect Sir Ernest George, and discover how Mary created the gesso panels for the Watts Chapel in the Mary Watts Gallery.
