Delve into the Gilbert Galleries as curators offer an encounter with one of the most extraordinary private collections ever assembled, celebrating the vision and philanthropy of Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert. Discover the expansion of the galleries as well as the treasures that lie within.
At the heart of the display is one of the world’s largest collections of glass micromosaics, shown together for the first time. Masterpieces of silver, enamel and hardstone demonstrate the breadth of the collection, while new provenance research reveals the complex histories of these objects, including the impact of Nazi and Soviet looting.
This talk will be held on Zoom. Ticket holders will receive the link to view the talk live on the morning of the event. A recording of this talk will also be made available for all ticketholders after the event.
