Delve into the Gilbert Galleries as curators offer an encounter with one of the most extraordinary private collections ever assembled, celebrating the vision and philanthropy of Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert. Discover the expansion of the galleries as well as the treasures that lie within.
At the heart of the display is one of the world’s largest collections of glass micromosaics, shown together for the first time. Masterpieces of silver, enamel and hardstone demonstrate the breadth of the collection, while new provenance research reveals the complex histories of these objects, including the impact of Nazi and Soviet looting.
