This special one-off screening for Jewish History Month offers a rare opportunity to experience this gem from the V&A’s National Video Archive of Performance (NVAP) on the big screen.
Wot? No Fish!! by Danny Braverman is a funny, tender and deeply moving slice of East End Jewish life, told through drawings on the back of pay slips that were left as notes exchanged between husband and wife, spanning 1920s to the 1980s. These devoted and often comical sketches, are brought to life through a unique theatrical style that places objects and archive at the heart of its storytelling, turning everyday moments into a rich tapestry of memory, love and resilience.
