The Portico de la Gloria is one of the most iconic monuments from the Romanesque period in Europe. For over 150 years, the V&A has famously had a plaster reproduction of it on display in the Cast Courts. As a result of the extensive renovation and conservation work to the Cast Courts that was unveiled in December, new findings about this incredible cast have been discovered. On this exciting gallery talk you'll discover the characters who travelled to Northern Spain to make this famous reproduction happen. Find out about the unexpected techniques they used and how the legacy of the cast expanded beyond the Museum walls.
