Jean Paul Gaultier - Catwalk photo
Often introduced as French fashion’s ‘enfant terrible’, Jean Paul Gaultier radically refreshed, re-energized and re-imagined the possibilities of high fashion from the 1970s onwards, blurring boundaries between masculine and feminine, high and low culture and celebrating models of all ages and ethnicities – even drawing icons such as Madonna and Björk onto his runway.

Join him for a look at his career and inspirations, in celebration of the publication of Jean Paul Gaultier: Catwalk (Thames & Hudson), the first ever comprehensive overview of the designer’s womenswear collections, from his debut in the late 1970s to his farewell show in 2020.

Gaultier will be in conversation with renowned French journalist and filmmaker Loïc Prigent.
