From William Orpen to Rudyard Kipling, journey back to Edwardian England, a time when experimentation and innovation challenged the expectations of entrenched tradition in all aspects of life. You will examine the works of great artists, architects and writers to gain a rich understanding of the era’s social history.
Course Leader
Justine Hopkins
Justine Hopkins read English and drama at Bristol University, then took an Art History MA at the Courtauld Institute and a PhD at Birkbeck College. Since then she has worked as a writer and freelance lecturer for a wide variety of institutions, is a registered lecturer for NADFAS and a regular contributor to the V&A programmes.
