This after-work event for Primary and Secondary teachers offers the chance to see and learn about key works and artists through objects, learn from a contemporary artist, network with other teachers, and collect inspiration for visits to the museum and activities in the classroom. For this session, we will be joined by the artist and designer Maraid Mcewan.
For this reflective CPD workshop, we invite teachers to explore the intersection of inclusive design, ecology, and creativity through the theme of teacher sanctuaries. The session draws on Maraid's own practice, rooted in ecological connection, landscapes, and collective memory: to guide participants through a multi-sensory and layered process of introspection and making.
The workshop will culminate in a collaborative installation within the studio/foyer space and a facilitated group reflection on how these methods can be adapted for classroom practice. This session offers a unique opportunity to pause, connect, and reimagine the role of creativity and ecological reflection in inclusive education.
All materials and light refreshments will be included.
This event is free and priority booking is for teachers from schools with Free School Meals/Pupil Premium rates above the current national average.
