Join crochet designer Sarabi Hawke for a playful waste weaving workshop where you will use scrap material and colourful yarn to create your own unique textile treasure to take away.

Drop-in Design: Wiggly Weaving photo
Feel the joy of spotting hidden treasure in everyday scraps. Bring your family and friends along as you snip, loop and weave together, exploring themes of care, creativity and community while turning would be waste into something magical.

Turn old plastic bags, scrappy bits of fabric, and leftover yarn into bright and bumpy tapestries that are full of colour. Twist, tie and weave bits of “rubbish” and explore how everyday throw-away materials can be given new life. 

This is a free, drop-in event for families to enjoy all together; no child can be left unattended. Suitable for ages 5+. 

This event with take place in the Art Studio, Level 0 of the V&A Learning Centre.
