Library and Archives Discovery Day: Festive Focus photo
Would you like to learn a new skill and get behind the scenes of the National Art Library? Take a moment to have a close look at festive and seasonal themed collections. Join the V&A’s Youth Collective’s book-binding workshop to create small gifts for yourselves or others. Take a tour of the hidden places of the library to discover more treasures!

There will be a display of some remarkable items from the Library’s collection on the topics of: the gifting, winter, feast & festivity and Christmas books. There will also be Museum Archives on show.

Take part:

Create

Make your own book to take-away with you. The Youth Collective team will take you through the production of a Japanese pin binding in a 45 minute workshop.  All skill levels welcome!

Location: Centre Room

Time: 12:30, 14:00, 16:00 

Decorate

Materials will be available for you to either fill the pages of your pin bound book, or to just respond to the Library’s collection.
