I am a V&A Member but I do not have a digital Membership card. When will I get one?

From October 2023, existing V&A Members will receive a link to download their digital Membership card after they next renew. Once you renew your Membership, you will receive an email from Cuseum, our digital card provider, with instructions on how to download your digital Membership card.

How long after purchasing or renewing my Membership should I receive a digital card?

If purchasing a Membership for yourself, you should receive an email from Cuseum, our digital card provider, with instructions on how to download your digital Membership card within 48 hours of purchasing your Membership. Recipients of a gift Membership will receive an email within one month of the purchase.

I have purchased a gift Membership for someone. Will a digital card be sent to them?

If you have provided us with an email address for the recipient, they will receive an email from Cuseum, our digital card provider. This will be sent later (within one month of purchase), so we don't spoil the surprise.

If you have opted to send the Membership pack directly to the recipient, the digital card will be sent to them two weeks after purchase. If you opted to have the Membership pack sent to you as the purchaser, the recipient will not receive a digital card until 30 days after you purchased the Membership.

I haven't received an email about my digital card. What should I do?

Please check your spam folder in case the email has been sent there in error (it will be from Cuseum, our digital card provider, not the V&A). If you think you have not received the email, please email the Membership team at membership@vam.ac.uk to arrange for another email to be sent to you.

Will I still receive a physical Membership card?

Yes, currently all members will still receive a physical Membership card. Digital cards will be offered as an additional option alongside your physical Membership card.

The details on my digital Membership card are not correct. How can I get this updated?

Please email membership@vam.ac.uk and the Membership team will check your details and arrange to update your card if required.

Can I download my digital Membership card to multiple devices?

No. Your V&A Membership card is not transferrable and therefore the card can only be downloaded once to a specific device.

Does my digital Membership card entitle me to the same benefits as my physical card?

Yes. Your digital Membership card will allow you access to exactly the same benefits as your physical card. This includes free access to exhibitions, entry to the Members' Room and discounts in the V&A shops and cafes.

I have a Membership with more than one cardholder. Will the extra cardholder also receive a digital Membership card?

Yes. If we have an email address linked to the extra cardholder's account, they will also receive an email with a link to download their own digital Membership card.

I already have a digital Membership card. Do I need to download a new digital card when I renew my Membership?

No. If you have already downloaded a digital Membership card, your expiry date should automatically update on the card in your wallet when you renew your Membership.

I downloaded my card but I can't find it on my phone

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to your Apple Wallet. Check the Apple Wallet app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there). If you have an Android, you'll need to check your Google Wallet app or Wallet Union app depending on which wallet app you use.
