Summer School - Balenciaga Brooch Workshop

Inspired by Balenciaga, this practical workshop gives students an introduction to Metalwork Embroidery, Stumpwork and Beading - embroidery techniques used in the fashion industry and particularly in haute-couture.

Students will learn how to apply Pearl Purl and to transform them into 3D petals; create wired shapes; apply beads and sequins, combining all techniques together to make a flower brooch. All materials provided, led by Sara Meanwell, Royal School of Needlework.
