Elytra Filament Pavilion

Inspired by beetles and fabricated by a robot, this striking garden pavilion kicked off the Engineering Season

This Garden installation by architects and engineers at the University of Stuttgart was inspired by the forewing shells of flying beetles known as elytra and constructed using a novel robotic production process.
