John Henry Dearle Compton lambswool scarf

Wrap up warm this winter with this elegant pull-through scarf, created exclusively for the V&A. The scarf is made from pure lambswool, spun in Yorkshire and made in Scotland. The pull-through design ensures the scarf stays in place and looks smart, even on blustery days. The attractive pattern is adapted from John Henry Dearle's Compton design for a furnishing fabric, created for Morris & Co. in 1896 and held in the V&A archive.
