Slightly cheating here with a crochet pattern but we couldn't resist including these adorable vintage egg cosies from our archives! With endless facial feature possibilities, you might find yourself amongst a crowd at breakfast.

Suggested yarn: 1 ounce Copley's 4-ply 'Excelsior' wool, Daffodil No. 90. 1 ounce Copley's 4-ply 'Excelsior' fingering, White.
Needle size: 1 No. 13 'Stratnoid' crochet hook
Additional materials: A small quantity of contrasting coloured wools for the embroidery.
Measurements: Length, 2½ inches. Width all round at lower edge, 5½ inches.
Tension: Work to produce 8 d.c. to 1 inch.
