Fair Isle jumper

Never out of fashion, this Fair Isle jumper pattern from 1958 claims that 'It's quite easy to do as only 2 colours are used on any row in the pattern'. The traditional motif in this version is jazzed up using colour and a bit of sparkle (not immediately apparent from the black and white photographs)!

Suggested yarn: Of Patons Quickerknit Botany, Patonised, 9 ozs. Black, 2 ozs. Sparkling Jade 6074 and a small ball (less than ½ oz.) in White.
Needles: A pair each No. 11, No. 9 and No. 8 'Queen Bee' needles. A set of four No. 11 'Queen Bee' needles, pointed both ends.
Additional materials: A 4-inch light-weight zip fastener.
Measurements: To fit 34 – 35-inch bust; length from top of shoulders, 21 ins.; sleeve seam, 17½ ins.
Tension: 6½ sts. and 8½ rows to an inch over stocking-stitch on No. 9 needles.

Christmas jumper

No party season would be complete without a festive jumper. Luckily, we've got you covered with this form-fitting beauty! The scalloped edging adds additional interest and the neckline allows your favourite jewels to shine – balloons optional.

Suggested yarn: 5 ozs. Patons Beehive Fingering 3-ply, Patonised, in a light shade, and a small ball dark contrast or one J-oz. ball of Fuzzy-Wuzzy Angora in a dark contrast.
Needles: A pair No. 12 'Beehive' needles.
Measurements: To fit 34-inch bust; length from top of shoulders, 19 ins.
Tension: From side to side of one pattern measures 3 ins.
