Sculpture

With works by Donatello, Michelangelo, Bernini and Rodin, the V&A holds one of the largest collections of European sculpture in the world. From the miniature to the monumental, the works in the collection feature a vast range of materials, from bronze, marble, terracotta and wood, to alabaster, wax, shell and precious stones.

The V&A is also home to sculpture from across Asia, from antiquity to the present day. These were often made by artists whose names are unrecorded, and reflect religious practices such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.
