Early Modern Dress: Fashion & Textiles
24 February 2017
Inspired by the Europe 1600 – 1815 galleries, this session will examine our new handling resource made up of two half-sized mannequins in Spanish Baroque dress. Work with a contemporary fashion designer to develop an understanding of garment construction and take inspiration for future design projects.
24 March 2017
View the spectacular objects featured in the newly opened Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Collection. This incredible collection celebrates some of the most beautiful objects ever made, many in precious materials, and often on a small scale. Gather inspiration for a practical session afterwards with a contemporary designer which celebrates both craft and the digital.
Thank you for a superb evening. It was fascinating and a real privilege to look behind the scenes.
